Welcome to Crystal Towers, which has been home since the end of September. Still walking distance from walk - actually, closer than previously - it's a jolly nice place to be.
Here's my balcony:
and here's the view at daybreak:
Just about possible to see the Indian Ocean from here:
The swimming pool and gym are directly below the balcony:
The showers are a bit 21st century, water comes out in 4 different ways, including horizontally from the nozzles which I trust are clear:
Perhaps the biggest selling point for me is what I call my 'miserable git' room:
Idea is that, if I simultaneously have 3 sets of visitors, I can move the recliner from the balcony into this room, which doubles up as my office. So please feel very welcome to stay, I even have a spare key (which I didn't previously).
One final thing on the apartment: I went to take the picture of the whole block and on the way back was invited to take the following picture:
Security guards are a big part of life here, very grateful to the teams both at work and here at the apartment block for their efforts in keeping us safe - even when, as above, it doesn't look as if they're doing very much...
Off to Kilifi, coastal Kenya near Mombasa, for a maths class next week - have my dance in honour of the number 12 prepared! So hope to be able to bring back some pictures from there. Also, just about to put a section on the website for the Joshua Ngombo appeal, please do take a look when it's up!
